The healthcare specialists at the Wound Healing Center will provide a treatment plan that is designed specifically for your individual needs. Our comprehensive approach to wound care can help you pick up where you left off before your wound occurred. The Wound Healing Center has a healing rate of over 95%.
Individual Treatment Plans
The wound care team will design an individualized plan just for you. Your treatment plan may include:
• Laboratory tests
• Diagnostic tests and x-rays
• Debridement of necrotic tissue
• Antibiotics
• Specialty dressings
• Education on prevention and treatment of wounds and diseases
• Biopsies
• Tissue cultures
Conditions Managed at the Wound Healing Center:
• Chronic, non-healing wounds
• Arterial ulcers
• Diabetic ulcers
• Traumatic ulcers and lacerations
• Venous ulcers
• Ostomy care and wound management
• First and second degree burns
• Dehisced surgical wounds
• Osteomyelitis in open wounds
Staff
James Bergin, MD, is a general surgeon and the Medical Director of the Wound Healing Center.
Erica Henson, APRN, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who provides services at the Center.
Located adjacent to the hospital on the 2nd floor in the Jane Wheatley TRH Medical Building, The Wound Healing Center sees patients by appointment only and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 4:30. All insurance is accepted but is subject to referral as individual policy requires.
