OR Surgical Technician

Job Description: The OR Surgical Technician assists the surgeon via scrubbing, passing of instruments, performing counts and hand-off of specimens. The Surgical Technician should have knowledge of instrumentation and set-up of all cases. Performs specific intra-operative procedures, e.g., counts, preps, positions, etc. Uses professional knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide timely patient care, e.g., timely open of cases, turnover of rooms, etc. Demonstrates correct and safe techniques in use of all equipment, e.g., Bovies, lasers, ortho tables and video equipment.

$5000 sign on bonus

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of surgical technologist program or surgical technologist certification required.

Experience: One year of scrubbing experience preferred. Successful completion of BLS within introductory period.

Must be available for call and have a response time of 30 minutes.

Full time position available.
